Philip spent three years locating for USIC on projects ranging from highway widening to miles of fiber installation, then three more learning Xcel Energy's infrastructure from the inside. After a motorcycle wreck put him in recovery, he decided the trade he'd already mastered was worth building on his own. HPLS opened its doors in July 2019 and has grown almost entirely by word of mouth since.
